These are far from fine china but function well at a low price with a good selection of plates bowls and cups with utensils included.
Camping, for the kids, picnics, outdoors, first apartment, or anywhere you might question glass or ceramic these aren’t a bad option especially for the price IMHO.
Sharp knives and stainless steel type scouring pads are going to scratch and mar the smooth surface of these, they are basically plastic with a little flexibility, but they’re rigid enough to support food items far better than paper plates and bowls.
Eventually they’re going the same way as plastic if not used accordingly, I’m sure they’ll bubble up in the microwave if left to get too hot, scratch as mentioned and so on. I wouldn’t look at these as permanent or seriously long term items, but they should serve the purpose of meals served for a reasonably decent amount of time, if not thrashed upon and abused.
Update: As expected, my sharp stainless steel knives are leaving gouges, although the supplied knives aren’t. A nice surprise is that the microwave aren’t thrashing these nearly as fast as I’ve seen with other plastic type products.

Overall, I do like this set. The construction seems very good and they appear pretty sturdy.
Price may be a little high at $30 USD due to the size of the cups and silverware. Bowls and plates are perfectly sized.
The reason for the 4 stars versus 5 is the knife, fork, and spoons. These are really too small in my opinion for everyday use. However, they are usable.
I have run these through the dishwasher about 5-6 times and have not seen a single one come out warped because of the heat of the dishwasher. This is a huge positive as most non-ceramic dinnerware seems to warp after one or two washings. Also, I have reheated food up in these and they are a thousand times better than plastic bowls and plates you typically see at big box stores.
I especially like the fact that they are not plastic. They are actually made out of wheat straw which means they are more environmentally friendly. I truly wish these had been around 20-30 years ago.

I ordered this “LAERJIN 56 Piece Wheat Straw Dinnerware Sets, Unbreakable Reusable Dinnerware Set” for a vacation home. I wasn’t really sue what wheat straw was like but thought I’d give it a try. They are a thick plastic type material. I was happy that they are microwaveable and dishwasher safe. Because they are a plastic type material, they do not break making them perfect for younger kids or those that are tipsy. The edges of the dishes are higher but that helps if you are using outdoors and don’t want to spill something off the plate. I have not used the silverware and don’t plan to because I prefer regular silverware. So far no stains on them and they have not warped. I will update my review if they do. I have been looking for a service for 8 because they are hard to find and especially anywhere near this price point. I may get a set for my kids college apartments.
