    Well, it’s kind of interesting:
-The dark green color is really nice.
-It’s 65D polyester, so at 7½ lbs, it’s definitely ‘heavy’, not ‘lightweight’. So, it’s best for car camping, or for two people sharing who aren’t dedicated to ultralight long-range backpacking.
-It’s really hot inside in the sun (silvered on the inside of the cover, so no sleeping in unless it’s really cold or there are zero bugs), but it should be plenty comfortable in cold weather, especially if you actually have two people inside, which I won’t.
-It’s really tall, so might not be wonderful in high winds.
-Because it’s really tall, it has lots of headroom, which is why I wanted to try it (because I’m 6’3″ and not very flexible, and don’t like pulling on heavy riding gear and boots sitting on my butt). Plus it’s really easy to slacken and partially detach the inner tent at the big entrance, so there’s plenty of room inside for a chair, maybe 2, even completely closed.
The big flap has two-way zippers, so top venting (important) is easy enough. The 3 other vents are unlikely to be enough to adequately prevent condensation, if those conditions arise. The smaller entrance is only bottom up.
-With a footprint of 7’+ x 10½’+, it’s enormous, so finding enough flat surface could be somewhat challenging, but 7′ x 6½’ is probably enough because that’s where the poles touch.
-No snow skirts, no biggie for me. I don’t ride in snow.
-There are no instructions, so you get to figure out out for yourself. Easy for me, but if you’re a noob, it could be a trying learning experience.
-Hiking sticks, or something else, are needed to hold the flap up and out, but I’m moto-camping, not hiking. Innovation trailside.
-With rain, that flap would have to be well below horizontal not to belly and catch water because of the edge taping.
-It’s 65D polyester, so I don’t know how much it can be compressed/compacted in a stuff sack because the cloth is a heavy. (Actually, I got it into a 13l e-Vent sack, so enough for me.)
-It’ll need seam sealing or taping to be actually waterproof.
-The stakes are cheap, but the whole thing is very inexpensive, so, yeah, you might want some better ones.

Piccolo interrogativo aperto sull’idrorepellenza.

    – Kein Stauraum / keine Tasche bzw.
