Jeff Fish –
This case is great! I feel that it protects my horn better than a lot of other, more expensive cases on the market. Lots of padding and straps to hold the horn secure in the case. It also has a big pocket on the outside that can hold most music and accessories. I would also recommend getting some ALICE Pack military backpack straps for this. It helps with the portability and overall function of the case.
For specification I have a 9.5 inch bell with thayer valves and everything fits just fine.
Trombone in Austin –
A little hesitant with the high price tag, but totally worth it. Lighter than the case the horn came in and because it is carried over shoulder or backpack style, effectively it feels like it’s half the weight of the case. As you age, this becomes more important.

Warning…. this case does NOT fit in the overhead bins on an airplane!!!! We have traveled numerous times with her old case and never had any issues. Unfortunately this is NOT the way we want to find out if it’s durable! Not impressed!
Antonio Portela –
My bass trombone came with a very large, heavy case. I got tired of carrying it when I play and got this one to replace the original case. It is smaller and lighter for sure, but it’s still pretty big and heavy. It fits a 10″ bell just fine, but I am going to try to find a lighter one that still fits the big bell.
Tom –
Super lightweight and has so much storage. I was wondering why I had back problems but now I know it was from my literal tree trunk of a wooden Edwards case. So worth the investment! Oh and definitely buy the backpack straps, those are a game changer!
Skippermdj –
The universal fittings , relatively light weight and ample space accessories make this a best buy
Mark –
I bought this case for my 1977 Bach 50b2 and now use for my Shires bass. There is plenty of storage for my mouthpieces, horn stand, music, cleaning gear, etc. The backpack straps make it comfortable to carry. It’s rigid enough to survive random collisions and bouncing around in transit. For my needs it’s in the sweet spot of good value and quality at a reasonable price. BTW – at the time I bought it Amazon was back ordered so I paid a bit extra at Schmitt’s trombone shop. Keith Hilson is good people!
Amazon Customer –
Very well medium-duty case. Fits my Edwards bass perfectly. Great balance when carrying either on shoulder or by hand. Compact size.
Jeff Fish –
The case that came with my horn stated having zipper issues and some of the cushioning was deteriorating. This case is much more sturdy. Solid zippers, adjustable padding, and the outside pocket fits my trombone stand and a mute. The only minor peeve is that the single strap that comes with it attaches on each end of the case making it awkward to carry. The manufacturer sells a backpack strap that isn’t that expensive but then what good is the strap that came with it. Since my old case had a single strap and more useful attachment points, I bought a couple of snap link hooks and was able to use the strap that came with the case.
